Do you love helping businesses with their digital marketing? We’re a rapidly-growing internet marketing agency looking for an experienced Search Engine Optimization Specialist to join the team.
You’ll be responsible for generating SEO recommendations to increase web presence, drive traffic, build brands and encourage conversions.

We expect our SEO specialists to possess a thorough understanding of current on-site search engine optimization practices and principles, and to have experience implementing their recommendations and tracking the results.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
You’ll contribute to search engine optimization campaigns for clients. Every client is different, but this typically includes things like:
Conduct keyword research
Make on-site SEO recommendations including site code, navigation, content, and usability recommendations.
Implement search engine optimization recommendations in a variety of content management systems.
Plan and execute campaign strategy.
Using analytics programs, show the benefits of SEO campaigns to clients, and interpret that data to help clients understand the value of SEO.
We believe in transparency, and each month we publish monthly reports and communicate campaign results to clients. You’ll also use web analytics data to make recommendations about what we can do next to help a client’s business.
We love our clients and take a lot of time to understand them and educate them in what we do. You’ll regularly meet and communicate with clients to understand their marketing needs, set their SEO strategy, and communicate successes and challenges.
Education is one of our core values. We’ll expect you to be a source of SEO expertise for our sales team, your team members and our clients. We’ll also expect you to be an aggressive learner working to fill gaps in your digital marketing knowledge and respond to changes in the industry.
We have a highly collaborative environment but also spend a lot of our time on solo projects. You’ll need a positive attitude, a team spirit, and the drive to master and be the owner of your own projects.

Job Requirements:
Understand SEO, online marketing, conversion optimization and e-commerce best practices.
Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging strategies.
Create and execute SEO strategies. You should be able to speak comfortably to the value of different SEO activities and the returns they can gain for a client.
Know how to write. Fundamentals like grammar and spelling are a given but you also need to be able to write persuasive marketing copy and communicate effectively via email and written reports.
Juggle multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines with aplomb.
Understand how SEO objectives contribute to an overall marketing plan, and how to measure and adjust to make sure a client gets the most out of their campaign.
Meet deadlines, no matter what it takes, independently or as part of a team.
Talk to people, with ease. You don’t have to be a great public speaker but you should have good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Possess a good balance of a creative spirit and an analytical mind.
Be an aggressive learner: learn fast, be proactive and contribute enthusiastically.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 1 year experience with SEO/internet marketing; more advanced position available DOE
A portfolio of relevant work or case studies (anonymized to protect client data is fine; we want to know what you did, what you measured and how well it worked).
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and Google Keyword Planner
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
We spend most of our days online; you should have an enthusiasm for the internet and have already spent some time building a web presence.
Data analysis and critical thinking ability: you should be able to look at a set of data, draw conclusions about it, and communicate those conclusions.
Nice to Have/Bonus Points:
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Moz Pro, Majestic, SEMRush, and AuthorityLabs
Front-end web development (HTML/CSS) experience
WordPress or other content management systems experience
Sales, marketing and/or customer service experience
Degree in marketing, advertising or journalism
Experience with content marketing, graphic design, video production, photography or offline marketing tactics
