Content SEO Analyst - Chicago IL

Overview:
The purpose of this new role is to lead global SEO content strategy for Orbitz Worldwide. This is a challenging full time role requiring a strong understanding of content, copyleft, mashups, blogging, social media, and naturally SEO. The goal of the right candidate will be to streamline and improve current content acquisition, reporting and targeting, identify opportunities of growth, and work with the wider SEO, product and content team to create and feed content in a system of pages in over 14 languages and a million pages.
The SEO content role will report to the Head of Global SEO and work in a global team of 7 SEOs, alongside 2 product specialists who manage development of the SEO and content platform(s) and with a team of over 10 developers who spend a large portion of their time in SEO development. This is a great opportunity for a content strong candidate to join a star team of fun experts from around the world who together are putting together an incredible in-house SEO platform in one of the toughest SEO industries around.
We will review candidates coming from a variety of backgrounds like general online content, community management etc and/or SEO focused content specialists and/or content geeks.
CONTEXT / ENVIRONMENT FOR THIS ROLE

The SEO content role will report to the Head of Global SEO and work in a global team of 7 SEOs, alongside 2 product specialists who manage development of the SEO and content platform(s) and with a team of over 10 developers who spend a large portion of their time in SEO development
•The jobholder must be able to deal with a variety of people and issues at different levels within the organisation, requiring excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and to gain trust and respect without direct managerial control.
Responsibilities:
The key areas the role will be managing are:

Content acquisition targeting and reporting
•
SEO content product roadmap / work with SEO and content team to find the best ways of using content across the sites(s) for best SEO performance

Content Test and learn activities
•
Zero cost content acquisition
•
Social network reach via content
•
Content KPIs
Drive SEO growth with content
•Assist in product development to improve content
•Drive roadmap for best use of content on SEO platform
•Content ROI
Content performance reporting
The SEO content specialist will use our existing tools, but also help improve our current processes and produce reporting, analysis and communications for:

Content ROI
•
A-B content testing
•
Content roadmap and vision
Qualifications:
Someone smart, content and internet savvy.
We will provide training opportunities for further development in SEO but the candidate must be strong in Internet tech and content.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential Skills &/or Experience
•Content production, acquisition and SEO
•Basic general SEO
•Strong Internet background
•Good understanding of Social media
•Good analytical skills
Desirable Skills &/or Experience
•Experience working with huge content sites.
•Experience running social media channel or reputation management
•Experience with blogs
