Here's what you'd be doing each day:
•Demonstrate your active understanding of the search marketing industry; both paid search (PPC) and SEO
•Develop and execute plans that support clients goals and strategies; ensure delivery of services according to contract
•Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive paid search engine optimization recommendations
•Conduct keyword analysis/research and develop quality keyword portfolio utilizing paid search (PPC) and SEO tools and resources
•Perform website analyses, consultation and other search engine marketing services as per client contracts
•Recommend and evaluate SEM tools as needed
•Develop recommendations for writing effective search marketing copy/meta data using industry best practices
•Develop and guide the implementation of complex SEO strategies
•Recommend optimization for various site components including copy, page title/descriptions, site architecture, filenames, etc.
•Ensure that client site pages follow proper SEO guidelines with respect to coding and adherence to established copy/keyword best practices
•Analyze latest algorithm changes and continually modify recommendations and best practices with regards to content, links etc
•Develop and implement quality link programs and/or directory listings
•Proactively seek ways to maximize client paid search (PPC) and SEO strategies holistically
•Assist in current or new client business development/proposals as needed
•Navigate a variety of search analytics tools to mine the appropriate performance data (experience with Google Analytics, CoreMetrics, WebTrends and other analytics programs an asset)
•Be proactive and innovative with solutions to meet client goals
•Participate in client meetings and conference calls
•Demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction
•Effectively communicate the search marketing process to clients
•Stay abreast of latest trends in the industry with constant research in the SEM community; implement strategies accordingly
•Develop and improve processes, policies and procedures
•Attend conferences, workshops and meetings to network with clients and colleagues and keep abreast of current information and developments in the field.

Here are some of the things we're going to be looking for on your resume:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
•Minimum 1-3 years experience in paid (PPC) and/or organic search
•Google AdWords Professional certification preferred
•Understanding of Excel and pivot tables required
•Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of organic search, the industry, and best practices in this industry
•Experience analyzing and applying response data to enhance campaign results
•Must be able to think strategically and work autonomously
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; previous experience in professional writing an asset
•Keen understanding of Return on Investment (ROI), Return on Advertising Spending (ROAS) – how to calculate, how to drive to these numbers as key performance indicators for optimization
•Strong research skills as the individual must be able to review customer insight tools, articles, blogs, web discussion forums, analytics
•Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines
•Must be comfortable learning various analytic interfaces
