The site consists of many thousands of pages and we are getting ready to optimize them, one by one. Though some of this work has already been done, quite successfully, there is much work to be done maximize our exposure on Google on other search engines.
We have some amazing opportunities for students to gain impressive resume-building experience not only with SEO but Google Adwords, article and directory marketing, back-link building, blog development, social networking promotion, internet marketing and more.
Do you know the difference between on-site and off-site SEO? Have you ever heard the term website usability? Do you know how Google determines page rank? Do you think paid ads on Google are displayed in order of bid price? Do you think a link from any other site to your site is always a good thing? Would you like to know about 15 easy ways to greatly improve the page rankings of your first employer?
We’re looking for serious-minded students who are going to work very hard, pay extreme attention to detail, take initiative and make significant contributions. Students would work a few days per week from our Old Town Alexandria office and part time from home. Those outside of the Washington DC metro area would work via video conferencing, email, instant messenger, etc. There is a lot of scheduling flexibility. You must be seeking internship credit to apply. This is currently an unpaid internship position but we have hired exceptional interns upon completion of their internships.
