Job Description
The Internet Marketing Manager will be responsible for leveraging the Company’s position as a leading hosted application provider for businesses and establish more robust digital capabilities to accelerate customer acquisition, broaden the Company’s online product set, and deepen customer relationships.
Specific responsibilities of the Internet Marketing Manager but are not limited to, the following:
Develop the strategic vision for the Company’s digital efforts that incorporate online into customer acquisition, revenue generation, product development, operations, customer relationship building and community development.
Work closely with senior executives across the company to effectively integrate the digital strategy with other critical corporate initiatives.
Build and lead the team – including resources in marketing and technology – to execute on the digital strategic vision.
Establish the technology platform and tools required to easily scale and measure results, and create an analytical and rapid-iteration test/learn/refine culture among the team.
Implement a management dashboard to track and improve upon key business metrics, and manage the day-to-day operations to achieve positive results.
Oversee all online customer acquisition (SEO, SEM, affiliate, media, partnerships) and web site (design, conversion, functionality) efforts that maximize online revenue.
Identify opportunities to use rich interactive content, such as video, blogs, and customer reviews, to drive sales and higher organic search engine rankings.
Prioritize and manage initiatives that deepen relationships with existing customers via email, site functionality, and integration of online into the broader customer experience.
Foster community building and brand enhancement via social networks, blogs, and online PR activities.
Build strong partnerships with third parties – agencies, search engines, content partners to build links Company’s sites and stay ahead of SEO and social commerce best practices.
Partner with IT, product management, content, merchandising and creative teams to ensure successful program implementations.
Desired Profile
The ideal candidate will have had success building and managing an online business or the online division of a company, including customer acquisition, revenue growth, customer engagement, and community building. The successful candidate has experience leveraging a consumer brand to generate rapid online growth.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree.
Proven experience building and developing online business, e-commerce and digital marketing strategies for a direct-to-consumer/small business organization.
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to span from corporate strategic development to prioritizing tactical business-building initiatives.
Strong leadership and management skills including a hands-on style and willingness to get involved in details.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to recruit and develop talent, and evidence of successfully managing a lean team efficiently.
Demonstrated success working in an entrepreneurial and high growth environment and interfacing with several other departments/functions in the company.
Advanced degree such as an MBA is highly preferred.
