My client is a niche travel company based in Cheshire who have been established just over a year and have already seen phenomenal success. The company was founded by two of the most influential business-men in the UK who have already grown the company to fantastic level within the year. The Director’s recently floated their previous business for around £750 million and their new company is set to be just as big of a success. With exciting names behind them, an already solid turnover and some of the best Online Marketing People in the industry- this is such a fantastic opportunity and a chance to join something really exciting. They currently have around 15 members of staff and are continuing to have aggressive growth plans over 2010 and enter the American market- opening a second office shortly.

They have built the Online Marketing Department to an excellent level and are now looking to employee a Community Manager/Social Media Manager. Although the role requires experience in social media, blogging etc you will receive the best training. They are looking to groom you into one of the best Social Media experts in the UK. Your role will be travel focused and ideally you will already have experience in this area; however this is not essential. It is however essential that you have experience in the Social Media sector. You will have worked with the usual avenues such as Twitter, Facebook, Wordpress, General blogging and forums. You will have excellent copywriting skills and have a real passion for Online Marketing. You must be feisty and really looking to sink your teeth into a role; being able to provide recommendations on Social Media and build the company’s online community. You will more than likely have your own blog and be able to demonstrate your social media footprint. There may be the potential to work from home for the right person and come into the office once a week, however you must be disciplined to do so.

There will be so much scope for progression and opportunities in this role. The company provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and one that most people would be enviable of. You must be self motivated as you will have lots of autonomy in the role and will be expected to bring ideas to the table. The company is still owner managed and the directors have a strong involvement day to day in the business- which means a lot less red tape.
