This job is located downtown Chicago with occasional travel to the Deerfield eCommerce office.Job Summary
The Search Marketing Analyst actively manages and provides search marketing campaign oversight for Walgreens E-Commerce Marketing Paid Search initiatives. He/She works on a team that focuses on executing the appropriate mix of search marketing strategies/tactics to improve overall efficiency and contribution at the account and category levels. He/She works with online and offline advertising teams along with the category managers to align paid search with key company initiatives. He/She effectively uses the web and other tools to automate campaign management and scale the business in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
Job Responsibilities
* Analyzes, optimizes, and grows search engine marketing campaigns. * Drives new ideas and processes to improve performance of SEM campaigns and business drivers, including account structure, bidding, ad copy and keyword development. * Accesses data and performs detailed analysis to make quantifiable decisions about verticals * Analyzes and reports to various levels of management on the performance of SEM campaigns * Identifies and tests new marketing opportunities to drive user engagement and revenue * Collaborates on best practices, reporting systems and tools across various departments * Coordinates with the Merchandising and eCommerce teams to support promotions and growth across different verticals * Performs as an active thought-leader on SEM landscape, staying abreast of current literature, search engine trends, algorithms, and best practices. * Promotes positive working relationships within the department, the company and the vendor communityJob Requirements
Basic Qualifications & Interests
* Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year experience in paid search marketing * Knowledge of paid search account management and optimization * Experience analyzing search data and identifying data-driven opportunities * Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. * Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel 2003 or later (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering).Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel 2003 or later (for example: using multiple sheets and workbooks, logical Operators (for example: “AND” and “OR”), creating charts, and pivot tables). * Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts). * Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or later (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts). * Experience communicating technical strategies to technical and business audiences * Google AdWords Certified * Experience working with AdCenter * Experience working with Omniture SiteCatalyst * Knowledge of UI tools and editorViewed: 414 times
