We are expanding our SEM team due to aggressive R&D of our proprietary TotalControl Dominator™ (TCD) search marketing platform, and strong sales and retention. We want our newest SEM analyst to produce optimum results for managed campaigns through technology, product expertise and a strong level of customer focus.

Essential Job Functions:
- Execute search engine marketing tactics, including keyword research and expansion, ad copy creation, campaign performance tracking, and testing
- Follow compliance guidelines specific to vertical market(s), and avoid black hat techniques that would adversely impact customer websites
- Continually evaluate and improve effectiveness of campaigns through bid management, keyword analysis, geo-targeting, spend ratio, and the like
- Present substantiated recommendations for budget reallocation or adjustments (higher or lower) to improve ROI of online marketing campaigns
- Perform best practices for departmental procedures that facilitate workflow, intra- and inter-departmental communication, tracking and reporting of SEM Analyst daily activities; contribute to the development and improvement of processes that support the alignment of quality, scalability, and capacity of team
- Be familiar with the operational structure and products of the clients in our vertical market(s), and their use of digital marketing solutions to drive leads and support branding objectives
- In conjunction with SEM Team Lead, participate in QA of new product & feature releases, as well as contribute to their continual refinement both from a technology and ROI standpoint
- Respond to support issues involving internal and external customers efficiently and effectively
- Demonstrate SEM expertise through preparation and delivery of professional and engaging SEM presentations in response to customer requests for campaign analysis, expanded definition of product features & benefits, and assist Sales/Account Management team in overcoming customer objections
- Stay abreast of new developments and changes in paid search; proactively share best practices, trends and tips with team, and actively research, test and propose new approaches to improving paid search rankings and results for Dealer.com accounts
Education and Work Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Internet Marketing, Website Development, Digital Media) is preferred, but 2 or more years of relevant work experience in SEM is an acceptable substitute.
- Intermediate experience working directly with paid search campaign management is required.
- Familiarity with Analytics and Display Advertising strongly desired.
- Minimum of 1 year in a client-facing role preferred.
- Search Engine Optimization strategies and social media experience (e.g., blogging, reputation management, etc.) a plus.
Technical Aptitude: Good knowledge of web-based applications and common Internet protocols and conventions (web browsers, email, HTTP, FTP). Basic knowledge of web display languages (i.e., HTML, CSS) and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel) is also required. Knowledge of web development techniques and technologies as well as databases is preferred but not required (e.g., XML, JavaScript, Velocity, MySQL).
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing; positive customer service experience, including managing difficult situations and difficult people
Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills, above average ability to multi-task proactively and in response to issues as they arise, proven methods to manage self and others (both clients and colleagues) adept at problem-solving, able to follow procedures, flexible to creatively develop solutions and work-arounds as needed
Team-Building: Prioritize needs of self, others and organization, contribute to an enjoyable and supportive work atmosphere
