Job Description:
- Must be familiar with user-interface and information architecture principles and how to design websites with database driven content.
- Work in a team environment to build mockups and prototypes, establish and create style guidelines and style guide documents as project deliverables.
- Create and implement innovative designs and graphics using HTML and CSS.
- Experience optimizing images for web user interface and creating HTML/CSS that matches a Photoshop design layout, and understand how mockups translate to code.
- Manage and maintain library of templates and image archives.
- Produce a consistent visual image across multiple websites.
- Must be able to work well with others, and thrive within a group dynamic setting
- Positive contributor to team environments.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years in professional web design experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in design and development of complex UI / internet applications.
- A demonstrated depth of experience in copy/design integration, typography and interactive interface design.
- Experience establishing design standards and related processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.
- Strong conceptual and creative skills and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Must be detail oriented
- Bilingual (French & English)
- Hands-on knowledge of current web markup or scripting languages: XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience and understanding of site architecture, user experience, color theory and color management on the web, proper file formats, compression methods and techniques
Additional Assets:
Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of classic ASP, ASP.NET, and SQL.
- Extensive experience with desktop publishing/imaging applications (Photoshop, Fireworks, Freehand, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver) for use in creating graphics optimized for the web.
