SEO Intern

Become.com is seeking energetic and enthusiastic SEO interns who enjoy writing content for articles and blog posts to join our SEO team. This effort includes assisting the Search Engine Optimization team author unique content, research key words, analyze hot products and compile competitor research. This person must be comfortable working in a high-energy, start-up environment and have a passion for learning about the e-commerce and search segments of the Internet industry. This position will provide the right candidates a strong foundation of SEO and Online Marketing and equip them with highly sought after skills in Search Marketing
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Research key words for shopping categories and help maintain a database of key words, categories and relevant data for each
- Research and write product specific posts for category specific blogs on Become.com
- Knowledge and ownership of key paid search business performance metrics; revenue per visitor, conversion rates and overall revenue
- Optimize performance of the keyword portfolio by testing new content initiatives
- Write unique and engaging product descriptions for products
- Optimizing product titles for search
- Identifying hot products using internal company tools
- Monitoring and reporting metrics for SEO
- Researching and evaluating links through several channels
- Conducting competitive search marketing analysis
Qualifications & Experience:
- AA or BA/BS from an accredited university
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with wordpress (blog platform) a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience and comfort in working in a team environment
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for getting results
- SEO (search engine optimization) copywriting experience a plus
- This position requires a 3 month commitment from the candidate, any special circumstances are subject to negotiations
