My client is a leading online retailer based in the North West who have recently seen a dramatic growth in their Online Marketing Department. The company is well established with a multi-million pound turnover and have built up a phenomenal reputation in the UK over the many years they have been trading. The company has both retail stores across the country and fantastic websites. Their brand is well known across the UK and a brilliant place to work. Because of their success and continued growth they are now looking to further expand the Online Marketing Department within the Social Media sector.

This is an exciting, brand new role for the company and one the whole online marketing division are excited about. As the Social Media Manager you will have full responsibility for the company’s Social Media and must therefore be able to hit the ground running. You must have a minimum of 12 months commercial Social Media experience and be able to provide examples of your work. Your role will be extremely hands-on and as the team grows, it will develop into one of a more strategic nature.

As the Social Media Manager your role and responsibilities will include:

Updating and managing Social Networking sites such as Twitter & Facebook

Full responsibility of the Social Media campaigns from monitoring, reporting and analysing

Working alongside and liaising with the full online team to ensure campaigns are integrated

Managing RSS Feeds & bookmarking

Expand & Maintain target sites for blogging

Although you will be fully supported by the Head of Online Marketing the role will be extremely autonomous and you must be in a position to really drive this side of the business forward. You will have a passion for social networking and social media and be looking to develop your career as there will be plenty of opportunity for progression. You must be able to understand how other elements of online marketing such as SEO assist in the Social Media mix.
