The Company

My Client is a market leader within their specific industry sector, having a specific niche within travel. Although their main office is located in Central London, they have an international presence, with their team also being made up of specialists from various nationalities! Since launching in 2003 they have grown rapidly, and last year had a turnover of 10 million. Due to expansion and current work load they are looking for an SEO Team Leader/Manager in order to work alongside the head of SEO and help continue the development of the in-house SEO team.

This role requires a hands-on attitude towards executing our SEO strategy. Strong leadership and communication skills together with a passion for SEO & Online Marketing is also a must.  The focus is predominantly off page optimisation – so good PR skills, creativity and ability to connect on a B2B level is an essential part of role. 

As the SEO Team Leader/Manager, Key Responsibilities Include;

• The candidate will lead a team of 6 SEO team members who focus on increasing organic results across our multi lingual travel website.


• Refine and manage internal standards for on-page optimization, link building techniques, and business / product profile distribution.


• Stay abreast of changes in search engine behaviour (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) and products and develop a roadmap of best practices for team to implement.


• Perform competitive analysis and make strategic recommendation to leadership team on emerging trends and opportunities to drive innovation and retain competitive advantage for our client base.


• Analytics: Tracks, analyzes and summarizes software download results and progress. Very strong quantitative skills, understanding of website traffic patterns and ability to analyze traffic.


• Ensure team has the training and resources needed for cutting edge skill development. Ensure that team members have the ability to grow in their careers and be recognized for their contributions.


• Hand-on approach in driving all different aspect of our SEO strategy and supporting different team members as and when needed.


• PDP’s and monthly one to ones with team members.

Experience Required;

-          3 years+ hand-on SEO experience 

-          Fluency in written and spoken English

-          Team Leader experience of 1 + years (Desirable)

-          Ability to use Excel spreadsheets

-          Be proactive, creative & analytical

-          Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
