The Company

With a turnover last year of around £890 million, my client is a provider of data services, information and marketing solutions across the globe. Due to continuing growth and success they are looking for a talented individual to join a specialist search marketing team as a Search Marketing Executive, based within the company’s central marketing department.

The Role

This is an exciting and challenging role, offering an opportunity to implement search marketing (SEO) techniques across a growing portfolio of B2B web products, tools, blogs and services, as well as market leading search based directories and products. This role offers a rare opportunity for an SEO professional to experience the variety offered by agency work but within an in-house corporate environment. 

As the Senior Search (SEO) Marketing Executive, you will be required to;

• Undertake market and competitor research and analysis


• Conduct keyword research using industry tools to create optimised content


• Utilise on-page and off-page optimisation strategies to achieve high rankings in search engine results pages and increase relevant organic traffic


• Regularly measure the effectiveness of  SEO campaigns by interpreting metrics via SEO tools and the intelligent use of web analytics 


• Plan, manage and report on PPC campaigns


• Present SEO recommendations to major stakeholders within the business


• Assist in educating editorial, marketing and development teams on SEO best practice and techniques


• Keep up-to-date with search engine technology, SEO methods and news by participating in forums, reading blogs and white papers and attending industry events.

Experience Required

• A proven track record working as an SEO specialist in either an agency or in-house environment.


• A high degree of numeracy and the ability to interpret and act on web analytics.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• An analytical approach, with focus on detail and the production of actionable recommendations of true value.


• The ability to explain key SEO strategies and actions to stakeholders in a clear and authoritative manner.


• The ability to interpret HTML and CSS, although coding experience is not necessary.


• Experience in other areas of online marketing, although not necessary, is desirable.
