The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of SEO, you will be responsible for the development and management of the strategic technical SEO recommendations for the portfolio of brands within the group. You will be required to direct the Developers and SEO Copywriter in the tactical implementation of the strategy by producing in-depth technical site audits/documentation.

As the SEO Engineer/Technical SEO Specialist, responsibilities will include;

·         Working with the Head of SEO, develop the overall SEO campaign strategy across the portfolio of brands within the group.

·         Direct Analysts, Copywriters and Social Media experts throughout the duration of SEO campaigns.

·         Develop and present detailed recommendations including optimised website architecture, internal link structure, server and CMS requirements and other factors for SEO optimised websites.

·         Direct web developers, designers and technical teams to produce websites that adhere to SEO standards.

·         Perform highly detailed website audits to identify issues and ensure the site is properly constructed to maximize search engine visibility.

·         Provide analysis of analytics packages for accurate reporting.

·         Consult with internal departments on website usability, to improve the end-users' experience, and conversion rates to true customers.

·         Provide current SEO strategies and advanced optimization techniques to internal team members.

Experience Required

·         Comprehensive Technical understanding of Search Engine Optimisation.

·         Programming/Development Skills/Understanding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion, .NET and Perl) would be beneficial although not necessary!

·         A proven track record in technology and/or technical production with Web related projects (ideally search engine optimisation-related)

·         Previous E-Commerce experience would be beneficial (although not necessary!)

·         Strong communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, driven and ambitious!
