Full-time Search Marketing Manager

Role description


World First is a leading foreign exchange specialist, working with both corporate and private clients. The company has a fresh and friendly approach to business and is currently looking for a Search Marketing Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on the challenge of keeping up with and implementing the latest search engine optimisation techniques, as well as creating, managing and optimising ground-breaking pay per click campaigns.


This is a newly created role and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to directly impact business results and develop World First’s online marketing function. The candidate will work with both the IT Team and the marketing department to balance SEO and PPC activities to maximise conversion from the World First website.


We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to bring SEO and PPC campaigns that are currently managed externally ‘in-house’. The candidate will ensure a smooth transition and subsequently assume full responsibility for delivering real business results from expert SEO and PPC campaigns.  You will feed directly into marketing planning by working with a strong IT infrastructure to develop business-building reports.


An interest in, and ability to produce online content and HTML emails would also be desirable, although not essential.


Responsibilities:


Organic search (SEO):


·         Regularly audit the performance of World First’s website and subsequently make recommendations using your SEO skills/knowledge to grow organic search traffic


·         Prioritise and implement recommendations


·         Produce monthly detailed SEO reports outlining all of the SEO activities carried out and their impact on the site’s traffic as well as the SERP position for important keywords


·         Research best practice and generally keep abreast of the latest developments within the SEO world to identify new opportunities for World First


Website optimisation:



  • Use your combined knowledge of website usability and Google Website Optimiser to improve the conversion rate of visitors to World First’s website


Social media:


·         Understand social media and other emerging online trends to identify opportunities for World First


·         Use social media optimisation techniques to drive traffic to World First’s website


Paid search (PPC/SEM):


·         Assume control of and manage the SEM budget for World First


·         Monitor keyword and advertising performance for World First’s PPC accounts


·         Produce ideas for new initiatives based on keyword research data with an estimation of the likely impact on PPC traffic and conversion rates


·         Produce monthly RoI reports complete with recommendations on improving conversions and lowering the cost of acquisition for World First’s PPC accounts


 


 


Package:


·         £28 – 38,000 pa dependent on skills and experience
