Full-time Account Manager - Search Marketing

Location: San Mateo, CA (Local candidates only, please)


The Account Manager defines, sets up, and executes online ad campaigns on behalf of assigned clients to achieve their stated goals and objectives. The Account Manager will also work with less experienced team members that will either assist on their clients programs and/or manage smaller programs under their direction. This position requires a candidate that excels in SEM, SEO and analytics. The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.


Responsibilities:



  • Overall management of clients’ online marketing campaigns, including paid search, content, local, paid inclusion, search engine optimization, re-targeting etc.

  • Set-up, create and execute online ad campaigns on behalf of assigned clients to achieve goals and objectives

  • Conduct client and competitive analysis to enhance organic rankings and traffic generated by targeted keywords

  • Analyze clients’ strengths and weaknesses as part of an SEO scorecard evaluation

  • Manage a book of business consisting of assigned clients’ online search marketing campaigns

  • Responsible for analyzing, recommending and implementing improvements to meet client online search marketing ROI/CPA objectives.

  • Present recommendations as well as design, execute, and analyze customer behavioral tests (e.g. A/B testing, multivariate testing) within and across campaigns and ad groups of  keyword bids, ad copy, and landing pages in order to continually improve key metrics (click, search, convert) across campaigns for ad creative, landing page

  • Understand and manage client’s media buying cycles, product/service update schedules, online marketing philosophy and goals, target demographics, etc.

  • Produce detailed campaign performance analysis and customersatisfaction metrics

  • Knowledge transfer to client’s internal search team or selected agency


Skills/Qualifications:



  • Four years of online marketing experience.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Strong analytical experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Search Marketing campaign experience.

  • Problem identifier and solver.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong MS Office skills, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Passion for marketing and the Internet.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications include:



  • Strong technical skills. Knowledge of website design and development, especially as it relates to search engine optimization. (Basic to solid JavaScript, CSS and HTML skills a further plus.)

  • Knowledge of direct marketing principles, strategies, tools and techniques

  • Yahoo Ambassador and/or Google Adwords certified

  • Coremetrics continuous optimization platform experience
