SEM: TripAdvisor has one of the most sophisticated proprietary SEM platforms in the industry. You will learn how to find new keywords, write custom ad copy, and optimize bids.
Travel Industry: Learn how to do a deep dive into a market and perform competitive analysis. Learn the top travel destinations for travelers from each country and how they search for travel information online. Integrate your findings to optimize our site to reflect market demand!
Other Skills: At TripAdvisor, we emphasize quantitative analysis and thorough experimentation. You will learn how to gather the preliminary data to build an experiment through SQL and how to analyze the results in Excel. We move quickly! During your internship, you will run dozens of tests, analyze results, and make decisions that have real effects on revenue and profit for the company.
Career Development: Every intern is paired with a mentor who he or she will have weekly meetings with. In these meetings you will brainstorm new ideas for tests, work on analyzing results and improve your soft skills (e.g. How to communicate through e-mails, how to present data properly, how to manage multiple work streams, etc.)
