Vedic Labs seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and creative individual to support and grow our social marketing efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to quickly gain knowledge and experience of the day-to-day efforts necessary to help organizations with their social media initiatives. This individual will be working on a variety of popular platforms including (but not limited to) blogs, social media networks, online forums, virtual worlds, etc. In addition, the person selected for this position will help develop presence, evangelism programs, and social media campaigns on behalf of our clients.  The intern will report to the social marketing practice partner. 

Those with strong writing and research skills as well as an interest in viral marketing are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates will be responsible for: 

·         Conducting online research and support department analytical and reporting efforts.

·         Assisting with the development and dissemination of content across key social media platforms.   

·         Participating in key messaging and content creation brainstorming and development efforts. 

·         Identifying influencers, key industry networks and industry online platforms.

·         Researching industries and companies from a social media perspective.

·         Developing databases to support client research and relationship building efforts.

Job Requirements

·         Strong computer and internet skills; knowledge and enthusiasm for social media applications.

·         Familiarity with basic html preferred but not required.

·         Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

·         High energy and passionate about social media.

·         Work experience in an office, sales and/or corporate setting a plus.

·         Ability to multitask; handle details, and work independently.
