Full-time SEO Manager - Rodale

The Audience Development group is responsible for developing and growing content engagement for Rodale’s websites which include menshealth.com, womenshealthmag.com, prevention.com, runnersworld.com and other websites.

The SEO Manager will play a key role in growing audience through SEO. He/she will work closely with Editors, Audience Development, Technology and other members of the larger team and will report to the Director of Audience Development.

Principal duties and responsibilities: - Provide on-page SEO recommendations pertaining to both technical and performance aspects (meta title, URL structure, internal linking, content opportunities, etc). - Carry out keyword research/analysis - Work with editorial staff on optimization efforts for articles/content, including areas of opportunity - Create, execute, and track innovative and effective external linking strategies for all sites based on keyword performance/opportunity - Conceptualize and execute internal site and cross network linking strategies, including tracking/reporting - Analyze various analytics reports to look for any issues as well as areas of opportunity and growth - Take part in meetings with editorial and tech teams for new projects, site/section redesigns, etc - Take part in SEO training for various departments throughout the year - Stay abreast of new tools, trends, and best practices in the search industry

The requirements:

- 3-5 years of recent hands-on search engine optimization experience - Excellent communication skills; verbal and written - Strong analytical skills - Must be able to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues - Extremely detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment - Must have a passion to stay current on SEO and study/understand/implement the latest ethical techniques - Experience working with CMS - Analytics (Coremetrics preferred)
