Full-time SEO Analyst - Burlington, VT

Dealer.com is expanding its SEO team which is responsible for the largest share of SEO clients in the automotive industry. The combination of our website architecture and managed SEO services provide significant value to our clients’ digital marketing strategies. Our newest SEO analyst will be able to produce optimum results for managed campaigns through technology, product expertise and a strong level of customer focus.



You must exude passion for SEO, be a team player among analysts, developers, marketing & sales, and articulate your recommendations clearly and confidently to facilitate ROI, customer satisfaction, and retention. Know how to leverage the continuously changing landscape of technology, search engines, and social networking.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
1.Execute search engine optimization tactics, including ongoing evaluation of keywords, content and meta data, campaign performance tracking, and link building
2.Follow compliance guidelines specific to vertical market(s), and avoid black hat techniques that would adversely impact customer websites
3.Continually evaluate and improve effectiveness of campaigns through keyword ranking, geo-targeting, conversion rates, search engine referrals, site traffic and backlinks
4.Present substantiated recommendations for changes that have a direct bearing on SEO results, such as domain issues, dealer-editable content, and custom page creation which would need to be implemented or approved by client
5.Perform best practices for departmental procedures that facilitate workflow, intra- and inter-departmental communication, tracking and reporting of SEO Analyst daily activities; contribute to the development and improvement of processes that support the alignment of quality, scalability, and capacity of team
6.Be familiar with the operational structure and products of the clients in our vertical market(s), and their use of digital marketing solutions to drive leads and support branding objectives
7.Respond to support issues involving internal and external customers efficiently and effectively
8.Demonstrate SEO expertise through preparation and delivery of professional and engaging SEO presentations in response to customer requests for campaign analysis, expanded definition of product features & benefits, and assist Sales/Account Management team in overcoming customer objections
9.Stay abreast of new developments and changes in organic search; proactively share best practices, trends and tips with team, and actively research, test and propose new approaches to improving organic rankings and results for Dealer.com accounts



Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience:

· A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Internet Marketing, Website Development, Digital Media) is preferred, but 2 or more years of relevant work experience in SEO is an acceptable substitute.

· Intermediate experience working directly with SEO campaign management is required.

· Social media, reputation management, and copywriting experience strongly desired.

· Minimum of 1 year in a client-facing role preferred.

· Experience with pay per click advertising strategies a plus.

· Familiarity with Analytics programs a plus.


Technical Aptitude: Good knowledge of web-based applications and common Internet protocols and conventions (web browsers, email, HTTP, FTP). Basic knowledge of web display languages (i.e., HTML, CSS) and Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel) is also required. Knowledge of web development techniques and technologies as well as databases is preferred but not required (e.g., XML, JavaScript, Velocity, MySQL).

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in writing; positive customer service experience, including managing difficult situations and difficult people

Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills, above average ability to multi-task proactively and in response to issues as they arise, proven methods to manage self and others (both clients and colleagues) adept at problem-solving, able to follow procedures, flexible to creatively develop solutions and work-arounds as needed

Team-Building: Prioritize needs of self, others and organization, contribute to an enjoyable and supportive work atmosphere
