SEO Specialist

AREA203 is looking for a SEO Specialist to join our quickly expanding team. We are interested in hiring a Specialist who will identify SEO and Code Optimization opportunities for large, complex websites. This person will answer directly to the SEO Manager.

Essential Functions:

1.      Implement flexible and template UI’s for a collection of websites

2.      Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive search engine optimization recommendations including detailed search behavior and code optimization / analysis as well as linking strategy

3.      Active involvement in cross functional teams including Information Architects, Visual Design, and Back-End development

4.      Explain difficult concepts using simple language

5.      Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed

Skills Required:

1. Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, PHP; verifiable expertise of web design, layout, and sound SEO design principles


2. Expertise in Content Management Systems such as Drupal and Wordpress, as well as IDEs such as Dreamweaver


3. Extensive knowledge of Search Engine Optimization ranking tools (e.g., SEO PowerSuite,  Wordtracker and SEOmoz Pro)


4. Meticulous attention to detail, while handling multiple responsibilities


5. Possess strong business ethics; be reliable and dependable


6. Ability to explain difficult concepts using simple language

Experience Required:

1. A minimum of 1-3 years experience directly managing and leading search engine optimization campaigns in a corporate environment


2. Experience with HTML Development, CSS, Javascript, and XML are essential
