Background Requirements: - Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in SEO and extremely enthusiastic about the SEO industry. - Proven ability to grow SEO for a large website. You should be able to show us top rankings that you have gained or maintained for competitive keywords and/or talk about how you significantly increased SEO traffic to a large site. - Experience hiring, training and managing a group of SEO specialists and/or link builders. - Has a good grasp on SEO key performance indicators and the ability to use these to prioritize and show ROI on SEO projects. - Website development experience including HTML/CSS and content management systems. Experience with Dreamweaver a plus. - Experience with website analysis and Excel data interpretation using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics as well as internal reporting tools. - Has experience with link building campaigns and brainstorming creative ways for link acquisition. - Knowledge of all basic SEO factors that influence results including but not limited to: o Link building o Keyword research o On page and title tag optimization o Long tail keyword and content strategies o Localized keyword optimization strategies o Internal link strategies o Indexation issues o Technical issues - 301s, url rewrites - Comfortable explaining/teaching SEO theories as well as presenting results to a group. - Experience with conversion rate testing using Google Optimizer or similar tools a plus. - Experience with online lead generation a plus also a plus.
