POSITION SUMMARY:
To seize Red Ventures aggressive growth goals, which includes the creation and marketing of Red Ventures own proprietary products, we are actively seeking a Sr. Director of SEO. This newly created position on the Research & Development/Emerging Ventures team will be responsible for full-cycle product development from strategic thought leadership through the tactical execution and on-going management of the product’s P&L statement. This person will also be responsible for prospecting new sites, industries, and the creation of continuous product enhancements. Additionally, partnering with Red Ventures’ talented Web Development team on the creation of systems to quantify and measure the impact of SEO efforts, the establishment of performance driven goals, and heavy data mining to identify opportunities for growth will also be a focus of this role. The Sr. Director of SEO will report directly to the head of R&D and will be a key member of an already established and highly talented team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• 5+ years of Search Engine Optimization experience across all major search engines
• Deep expertise and a passion for local search
• Demonstrated success in both the strategic creation and tactical execution of SEO initiatives preferably in highly-competitive consumer oriented industries
• Strong quantitative/analytical skills with the ability to prioritize growth opportunities based on financial impact
• Proven ability in the establishment of key performance indicators to measure success and the creation of technology to effectively and efficiently track results
• Clear understanding of ROI analysis and experience managing a P&L statement
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and hands-on environment
• Bachelor’s Degree (MBA or MS preferred) with a track record of success in both academics and career to date
• Prior work experience in programming or other technology oriented positions is a plus
• Sense of humor
