The Position


Head of Search Marketing.


 


You will be is responsible for collaborating with agency clients and executives to develop content for performance-driven cross channel digital marketing initiatives. This will entail participating in client meetings, creating content plans and managing multiple projects while delivering concepts and materials often under tight deadlines. As leader of the team it will be your responsibility to research and evaluate the ever-changing search and social media landscape. As a result bringing new platforms and innovative deployments to clients and the team. Furthermore, you will manage all client relationships interfacing directly with them on a daily basis. You will be responsible for managing marketing budgets across all channels and working with respective additional resource and agencies from search engine marketing (SEM), to search engine optimisation (SEO), social media marketing, banner advertising and much more.


 


Your role is integral to the company’s plans and as such you will report directly to the Director of Digital and the company CEO.


 


The Candidate must:


 


·      Manage the SEO on-line and off site teams.


·      Create, organise and manage content development schedules.


·      Conduct online research, create organised outlines and communicate in a clear, concise manner.


·      Create persuasive website content, blog articles and manage internal social media.


·      Write company press releases and client case studies.


·      Assist in researching for proposals and strategies.


·      Copyedit and proofread web, presentation and marketing materials.


·      Write engaging content for The Practice’s social media networks.


·      Develop high-impact PowerPoint presentations.


·      Be able to travel when required.


 


To qualify, you must demonstrate a track record:


 


·      A successful search marketing track record and a strong SEO and Social Media understanding.


·      Solid experience with both traditional and digital media is fundamental.


·      Agency work experience.


·      Ability to work with the development team and the agency to devise and execute search strategies.


·      An excellent knowledge of on-page optimisation techniques and leveraging user-generated content.


·      Must have a good knowledge of link building and techniques to build links from a user community. Furthermore, the ability to produce traffic analysis using appropriate tools and identify areas of focus for our SEO efforts.


·      Excellent knowledge of search marketing and latest SEO techniques (both on-site and off-site)


·      Experience handling large SEM (pay per click) accounts with hundreds of thousands of keywords


·      Knowledgeable on latest cross-platform bid-management tools


·      Analytical and methodical approaches to campaigns.


·      Ability to dissect numbers on excel and present to senior management with clarity


·      Strategic thinking with fanatical ROI with a leadership approach


·      Experience of management reporting and budget analysis


·      Experience in data extractions and analysis


·      Desirable technical skills


·      Analysis tools and reporting tools: Excellent Knowledge of Google analytics/webmasters and other tracking/ analytics tools (Eg. Raven Tool)


·      Knowledge of up-to-date effective campaign monitoring tools


 


You may have worked in the following capacities:


 


Digital Marketing Strategist, Digital Marketer, Internet Marketing Consultant, Internet Marketing Guru, Digital Marketing Strategy Manager, Head of Internet Marketing


 


Experience Requirements:


- Bachelors Degree - Minimum of 4 years search marketing experience - Minimum of 2 experience in social media - Professional demeanor and excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - Excellent project management, time management, team management and organisational skills - Experience in participating in client presentation, creative and strategy meetings - Proven experience and passionate enthusiasm for social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn are but a few - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment - Demonstrated skills in research, analysis (Google analytics/webmasters in particular), reporting (raven tools etc), web writing, website content editing and production, and general messaging. - Experience in creating and publishing content in online channels (websites, blogs, social networks) using various CMS - Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) - Working knowledge of graphic design, PowerPoint presentation design is a plus - A proven ability to work collaboratively with clients, executives, designers and developers
