Full-time Global Head of Search Marketing - CHICAGO

The Global Head of Search Marketing will provide search marketing leadership and strategic vision. The successful candidate will be accountable for helping build our global search (PPC and SEO) and affiliate organization to support aggressive revenue growth. The successful candidate will help lead a search team that focuses on executing the appropriate mix of search marketing strategies/tactics working with online and offline marketing teams. He/she will help take our brand to the next level by building global recognition of the company name, services and vision and moving search marketing from being a marketing activity to a proven and accepted cost of sale.


 


 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


 


·   Organize and direct long-term and short-term strategic search marketing efforts to meet sales, margin and active customer base goals.


·   Responsible for Premier Farnell’s sales performance from paid search and SEO efforts at a global level


·   Develop and scale our search marketing processes to ensure that effective optimization is in place to drive towards an efficient CPA across all markets globally (while scaling our keyword coverage and driving our overall return)


·   Drive an effective balance in the use of external agency and in-house resources, while structuring the program in an appropriate manner to gain global efficiencies while driving regional performance


·   Develop content assets that can be deployed on partner sites. Develop and execute external and internal link building strategies.


·   Develop and execute on an effective affiliate marketing strategy: identifying key affiliate partners, building the relationship, and ongoing optimization to drive affiliate revenue.


·   Measure and communicate core accountabilities and progress.


·   Develop and nurture a world-class search marketing team that will scale and thrive as the business grows.


·   Find appropriate partners/agencies and tools in the search marketing space to augment our internal skills and capabilities


·   Effectively use the web and other tools to automate campaign management and scale the business in an efficient, cost-effective manner.


·   Understand changes to the marketplace and industry, and adjust search marketing plans accordingly.


 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


·    Specific in-depth and hands-on knowledge and experience in search marketing (PPC, SEO) at a management level minimum.


·    Track record in driving revenue and customer acquisition targets via search marketing on a global basis.


·    Experience in managing large PPC budgets with market leading bid management tools such as Marin and Kenshoo.


·    Track record of thought leadership and having a clear vision for the future direction of the marketplace.


·    Undergraduate degree at a minimum.


·    Proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand the business from a market and P&L perspective. International exposure a plus.


·    Ability to work cross-functionally with peer group and executive leadership in order to achieve goals.


·    A measurement-oriented approach to marketing and business.


·    Background or capabilities in people development, managing growth, building a strong corporate culture through training and coaching.


·    Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.


·    A creative individual who pushes the envelope and embraces change with strong analytic/problem solving skills
