Job Description
The current opening is for the position of a Software Specialist for Web search platforms. The responsibilities include porting a Java based search engine custom designed and implemented for distributed search and also to add features into it.
Skills required are strong knowledge of search engine features such as crawling, parsing, indexing and querying as well as experience of implementing core technologies such as map/reduces and distributed file systems. The project also requires excellent C++ programming skills.
The position reports to the project lead for the Search engine project.
