Marcel Media, an Inc. 5000 Chicago-based Interactive marketing agency specializing in Search Engine Marketing, is looking for a Search Engine Optimization Specialist passionate about SEO and working in an entrepreneurial environment.Description:The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist will be given the opportunity to lead not only SEO projects internally but will also be intimately involved in building out internal processes for cutting edge optimization work. While working within the SEO team and directly with Operations, this positions primary function will be to accomplish our clients goals, which range from improving organic ranking to generating sales, as well as everything in between.The SEO Specialist will also be asked to assist the Sales team by contributing to proposals and quickly analyzing prospective websites with the expectation that within these proposals and analysis, the individual will not limit themselves to only SEO, but consider the broader online market and the perspective clients general marketing efforts. The individual who wins this position will contribute greatly to Marcel Medias voice as it pertains to SEO internally through continuous training and steering of both process and deliverables.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Accomplishing client SEO goals * Contributing to proposals * Ongoing training of Marcel Media staff * Ongoing assisting in development of internal processes * Ongoing training to ensure highest level of understanding and capability

Key Requirements: * Experience as an SEO Specialist or SEO Engineer, minimum of 3 years * Experience with Social Media Marketing, specifically how it pertains to SEO * Passion for SEO, where it is, and where it is going * At least a moderate understanding of technology and marketing * Ability to solve problems while working in fast-paced environment * Self-directed * Embraces entrepreneurial culture * Enthusiastic/energetic and ready to make a difference * Views opportunity as a long term commitmentMarcel Media is a fast growing, team-oriented company with a stimulating and challenging work environment.
