Full-time SEO & SEM Director

Duties You Will Do:



  • Run the day-to-day operations of a small team of 8 (& growing) market consultants

  • Be responsible for project outcomes such as quality assurance, delivery on budget and time, etc.

  • Provide guidance, leadership, mentoring and training for the Team Leader and team

  • Recruit additional staff as needed

  • Maintain third-party relationships with key clients and external vendors

  • Lead major digital projects for the team

  • Actively identify sales opportunities for the team

  • Attend and represent industry meetings on behalf of the company

  • Promote the company by heightening their visibility and reputation within the industry

  • Strategically input new ideas to assist the current product set


Essentials to be successful in this role:



  • In depth technical knowledge of online marketing capabilities

  • Solid experience in project management for large online projects and marketing projects

  • Experience as a team leader and with motivating people

  • Experience with long-term online marketing as well as short-term campaign briefs

  • Experience with managing large and high-volume paid traffic accounts

  • Experience managing large SEO projects with technical CMS knowledge

  • 3 years SEM experience on all major platforms, such as bid management and conversion optimisation

  • Minimum of 3 years SEO experience

  • Knowledge of the latest SEO strategies, link building tactics, and can write comprehensive technical SEO specifications for developers to implement or make the changes yourself

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with Google Analytics

  • Solid understanding of affiliate marketing, in-house and external email marketing and shopping comparison engines, including XML/CSV feed specifications

  • Landing Page Design & Optimisation experience using Google Maximiser (A/B split and/or multi-variant testing)

  • Experience in programming HTML or CSS or use a WYSIWYG editor, such as Dreamweaver
