Full-time SEO Manager

The SEO Manager will provide people leadership and management for the Search Engine Optimization team within FindLaw's Customer Operations organization. This position is responsible for the operational management and successful execution of search engine strategies across client websites. This position will leverage team SEO expertise to create and continually refine fulfillment and diagnostic processes and consulting services within the team and will provide daily people management at the team level. This role reports to the Director, Customer Operations and is located in Eagan, MN.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Utilize knowledge of search engine techniques to produce effective and best-in-class websites for attorneys. Create processes, standards of excellence and implement with team of SEO consultants. Coordinate fulfillment work and ensure alignment with search engine marketing strategies.

  • Provide people leadership to a team of three (3) team leads 35+ SEO Consultants and team of technical specialists. Includes attracting key talent, establishing performance standards, coaching, development/career planning and fostering a collaborative, team environment. The team consists of several SEO consultants and specialists.

  • Manage web production and cost schedules on a daily basis. Ensure the execution of SEO is in a timely and efficient manner and resources are allocated appropriately. Establish quality standards and measurements to deliver a high quality product. Review and provide quality assurance on work product on a daily basis.

  • Work collaboratively with external customers and field sales representatives on matters related to client service and fulfillment. Clarify, set expectations, and resolve issues. Develop and measure key business metrics for customer value, search marketing effectiveness and productivity.

  • Interface with other Customer Operations managers and team leads on fulfillment and process improvement initiatives. Includes design team, project management team, web development team and content.

  • Stay current on SEO developments and develop effective cross organization communications.

  • Analyze and develop procedures to measure and track success of customer SEO strategies and programs

  • Communicate the application of SEO strategies, performance metrics and programs to FindLaw sales representatives, account managers, and other FindLaw employees at regular business meetings


RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS:



  • Direct management accountability for team leads, search engine optimization consultants and specialists. Develop performance and production metrics and regular reporting.


FINANCIAL RESONSIBILITY:



  • Budget responsibility organization


Education:



  • 4 year degree required, preferably in marketing, business, or other related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years people leadership experience, including high level professionals.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in web marketing and/or SEO Experience large scale project management and process improvement


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Minimum of 4 years people leadership experience including coaching, employee development and recruitment.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in web marketing / SEO Experience with large scale project management and process improvement.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Demonstrated ability to respond to deadline pressures and be highly organized

  • Demonstrated presentation skills in small and large groups

  • Demonstrated analytical ability

  • Broad business knowledge

  • Business / strategic planning experience
