Full-time Online Marketing Manager - Global Digital Commerce (North America)

As our Online Marketing Manager, you'll drive relevant marketing, consumer acquisition and retention strategies for US Direct to Consumer businesses to maximize Brand impact, deepen consumer relationships and increase consumer value and maximize revenues for Nike Direct. You'll develop work plans against forecasted business requirements; manage relationships, calendars and content, creating seasonal schedules, communicating timelines, deadlines and request for approvals proactively; and act as liaison between agencies, vendors and Nike stakeholders. You'll schedule appropriate meetings and route deliverables for approval by stakeholders and coordinate with US Digital and Direct teams, Consumer Services, IT, Brand Management and Brand Design on requirements, timelines and resources. You'll ensure financial planning is done for each season's direct marketing activities to maximize spend and to meet key performance metrics. You'll partner with your team on monthly forecast reporting of revenue and expenses and reconciliation as necessary. You'll also execute against budget and ensure accurate expenditure tracking and accounting against plans. You'll play an important role in driving innovation in the Digital marketing space including social media, mobile and distributed commerce.  This opportunity also involves collaborating with the Marketing Analytics team on weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reporting, and measuring performance to articulate return on marketing investment. In addition, you'll communicate campaign performance to key stakeholders as appropriate.


 


 


Requirements for the position include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field

  • 5 years of professional experience in Direct Marketing, Online Marketing, Retail or e-Commerce Marketing or Advertising

  • 2 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including measurable examples of success in building SEO programs

  • Ability to evaluate websites from the perspective of SEO technical visibility and recommend changes to improve search engine exposure

  • Experience turning key phrase research and on-page optimization into actionable strategies to drive traffic and revenue

  • Understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and information retrieval principles and philosophies

  • Understanding of Shopping engine marketing and optimization

  • Experience with other online marketing tactics, including affiliate marketing, email planning/execution and display media is preferred 

  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business, competitive/business environment and consumer behavior

  • Demonstrated strategic planning and project management skills

  • Strong understanding of key performance metrics and analysis tools

  • Strong information-seeking skills and the drive to make things happen

  • Ability to effectively network and leverage internal and external resources

  • Ability to understand complex business issues, find creative ways to solve problems and make sound decisions that benefit Nike

  • Ability to use financial data to create and manage a budget, make decisions and maximize profitability

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Exposure to Search Engine Marketing (SEM) preferred

  • Experience in sporting goods content a plus.
