Job Description:
We are looking for an SEO Freelancer/Contractor for a 6 month period, to start asap.
To assist the SEO team in planning natural search campaigns and also managing the day-to-day aspects of an SEO campaign. Tactical SEO campaign delivery is also required, either directly or by tasking specialist staff. The role also includes an element of new business support.
Role includes:
Day-to-day management of SEO campaigns.Conduct continuous monitoring of campaign performance.Extract appropriate data for analysis and reporting.Make on recommendations to clients regarding on-page optimisation, or implement on page optimisation directly when appropriate.Build links for clients in the most effective, appropriate and ethical ways.Write end of month progress reports for the each campaign.Carry out campaign administration when required.Increase your own, and the companies, knowledge in the field of SEO.Working closely with the SEO Director to plan natural search campaigns and deliver excellent SEO service to clients.Nurture and develop relationship with clients for day-to-day requirements of search campaigns.Liaise with search partners and technology providers where required.Help SEO Director to identify new opportunities.Secondary responsibilities:Educate internal account management teams about natural search, encourage best practices and promote the role of SEO in the digital mix.Develop a high level of marketing, online marketing and in particular search engine marketing expertise.Keep abreast of the competitive offerings in the marketplace.Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including developments in – online marketing, e-commerce and online consumer behavior. Skills / Experience:
Significant SEO experience including preparing technical site audits, providing consultancy to clients, managing and developing an SEO team and commercial SEO propositionExpert knowledge of SEO best practices, tactics and ranking strategiesKnowledge of SEO software and tools including knowledge of CMSKnowledge of Google Analytics or other Web Analytic servicesStrong interpersonal written and verbal communication skillsIdeally have working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, W3C, DDA, RSS, XML, Perl, PHP, SQL, IIS, Apache/mod_rewrite and DNS and the implications for how the use of these technologies influences search enginesSystems Administration experience for Microsoft, Apple OS X, and Linux operating systems in both development and production environments
