Full-time Search Excellence Coordinator

First and foremost, the Search Excellence Centre will be dedicated to the efficient execution of paid search campaigns for the OMG UK agencies – PHD, MG OMD, OMD UK and M2M. The majority (50-70%) of time spent on paid search campaigns is dedicated to development, execution and implementation. Centralizing these efforts provides benefits in two key areas. First, the Search Excellence Centre will be able to drive efficiency and cost-savings by developing tools, creating economies of scale and sharing best practices while also providing a training ground for learning the fundamentals of search marketing. Second, the agencies can become more revenue-focused. By removing execution from the agencies, strategic resources can focus on growing current clients through cross and up-selling, as well as pitching new business.


Job Description:


This position will be responsible for various pieces of paid and natural search campaign/keyword research & development, set-up, management, and reporting. This is the “training ground” to learn and master search marketing and develop a search expertise that few ever obtain, with a primarily training focus for the first 3-6 months and a growing opportunity to work on several major online marketing campaigns over the first year.


Specific Responsibilities Include:


- Client/Internal Data Analysis (15-20%)


o Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly results reporting o Specific testing and report analysis o Ad-Hoc client requests o DDS entering before the 10th of each month


- Paid Search Campaign Development (70%, increasing over time)


o Coordinate with team members to develop campaign plans and strategies o Develop, monitor and optimize keyword lists o Write client creative o Execute paid listing submissions o Assess and suggest appropriate landing pages o Perform client and industry research o Develop and monitor bid strategies


- SEO Research & Implementation (15-20%, increasing over time)


o SEO Research o Create client-bound research and execution documents o Research and implement linking strategies o Implement various SEO initiatives


- Software Usage


o Experience working with Microsoft Office products o Solid Excel/spreadsheet capabilities o Knowledge of campaign tracking software a plus, but not required


Role Expectations


- Display effective communication skills to coordinate with external & internal stakeholders - Display effective time management skills in order to consistently meet deadlines within the scope of specifically assigned work. - Possess intermediate Excel skills - Demonstrate basic understanding of PPC engines and landscapes Demonstrate basic understanding of industry technologies such as bid management tools - Exhibit basic data interpretation skills


Skills / Experience:


Experience and Qualifications Required: Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications and have proven work experience or an internship. Note: this is not a sales position and is computer intensive environment.


This person will also:


- Be a proactive self-starter - Have a Marketing/Advertising background with a desire to work for a fast-paced, results-based company - Possess general knowledge of direct marketing principles and strategies - Have strong organizational skills being able to manage multiple projects at once - Be confident in compiling & analyzing marketing data
