Full-time Web Site Analyst

Biggs|Gilmore, a 95-person interactive agency, is looking for a Web Site Analyst to join our fast-growing team. As a member of the Strategic Planning team, the Web Site Analyst is responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing Web site data. An expert in Google Analytics, he/she works with the Digital Metrics Analyst and Strategic Planner to analyze user behavior in order to optimize site design, content, campaigns, and sales.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Consults with Strategic Planner and Digital Metrics Analyst to develop the Measurement Plan, which defines the metrics necessary to analyze overall campaign performance and conversions against stated objectives

  • Creates Tracking Specifications Document (TSD) based on objectives stated in the Measurement Plan in consultation with Digital Metrics Analyst to ensure metrics specifications are defined for the development team

  • Provides reports and analysis for assigned clients and/or projects according to the schedule in the Metrics Report calendar

  • Configures Google Analytics accounts, goals and filters as specified in the TSD

  • Stays abreast of Web-tracking technology with strong emphasis in Google Analytics and WebTrends

  • Conduct ad-hoc traffic analysis when requested for generic reporting dashboards


 


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in professional experience and education with strong analytics skills

  • 1-3 years experience with Google Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture, Urchin or similar enterprise level analytics package. 

  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of other Web site measurement toolsets

  • Understanding of Internet technology, URLs, domains, and database concepts

  • Ability to verify analytics tracking in browser testing tools, ( e.g. Firebug, Fiddler) 

  • Basic Regular Expression writing experience

  • Experience with multivariate or AB (split) testing e.g. Website Optimizer

  • Campaign management experience preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent presenter and listener with ability to think quickly and deliver consultative response

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
