Senior Digital Account Manager : Due to the rise of social search optimization our client is actively seeking a senior digital Account manager to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will come from either the agency or client-side but in both cases have strong skills across a broad range of Digital or Online Marketing in a "hands-on" capacity. You should display a thorough understanding of, and be aware of developments within the digital marketing world across Pay-Per-Click (PPC), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Social Media, Site Usability, Email and Affiliates. Passion is a pre-requisite!

So what makes a great digital account manager? Firstly a passion for all things digital and online. A keen interest in anything from website design to e-commerce to social networks will serve you well. Our client needs a candidate with passion for their role and the ability to act as strategists for their clients. Secondly, you will need to enjoy numbers, and have a good eye for detail. Creativity has its place, but this role demands someone who can understand the difference between a conversion rate and a click through rate, who can work out the cost per click or cost per acquisition? You will need to identify opportunities amongst reams of data and constantly strive to find better solutions and online marketing solutions to propose to some of the largest Blue chip companies in the UK.

Thirdly, you will need to be a great communicator. A digital account manager needs to make the complex appear simple and be able to explain and communicate effectively with clients and junior account managers. Our client is looking for someone who has who is an articulate and persuasive presenter and a great people person. You will need to have the gravitas to act as advisor and strategist for large-scale corporate clients.

Finally you will need the right work ethic and the management skills. You'll be dealing with lots of people and often be juggling a number of different projects and clients at once. The desire to learn and succeed is therefore essential for success.
