Progressive Digital Media is an international media company providing world class publications, events and reference websites.


 


We are seeking an experienced, self motivated individual to join our dynamic, fast-paced and growing in-house online marketing team within the electronic media division.  As a Technical eMarketing Executive, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and increasing the web presence and traffic of key strategic B2B websites within our portfolio.


 


Key Responsibilities:


 



  • Manage, maintain and increase the online presence of in-house B2B websites by utilising modern White Hat search optimisation and marketing techniques.

  • Manage & implement specific marketing projects which are given to you, ensuring strong communication with all parties.

  • Utilise analytical tools and methods to identify new SEO/SEM opportunities, and to track the success of your SEO/SEM campaigns against set targets.

  • Perform regular technical site appraisals for search optimisation purposes.

  • Research new content opportunities and make recommendations to site editors.

  • Perform organic link acquisition research and conduct link-building campaigns.

  • Use keyword research & competitor analysis to identify new opportunities for optimisation and marketing of our websites.

  • Contribute to projects involving site usability & navigation, statistical tracking, analysis & reporting, site maintenance, structure & specification, keyword research & competitor analysis, audience analysis & segmentation, link building, social media marketing, public relations & press releases, PPC, keyword analysis & segmentation.


 


Qualification/Experience Required:


 


The successful candidate will:


 



  • Have the equivalent of 2-3 years experience in web marketing (internet / online marketing / SEO / SEM) for B2B products.

  • Be fluent in the English language (both spoken and written) and able to demonstrate a good understanding of correct grammar.

  • Have a sound awareness of search engines and how to optimise a page in order to improve its relevance for online marketing purposes.

  • Be competent in all aspects of technical search engine optimisation and in appraising websites for SEO, and will be skilful at search engine marketing.

  • Have a track record in planning and delivering effective B2B search engine optimisation and marketing campaigns that meet their objectives.

  • Have a strong technical background and an analytical mind.

  • Have experience working with WebTrends (or similar) web analytics software to analyse visitor data with the aim of improving SEO and SEM.

  • Be comfortable hand coding clean XHTML and CSS.


 


Having a Google Adwords Professional qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not required.
