Content Marketing Specialist

Content Marketing Specialist

Working with our client strategists and technical professionals, our content marketing specialists develop, write and manage the communications campaigns, promotions, and advertisements that drive our clients’ digital successes. From Facebook engagement to tweets to link building outreach to web release writing and more, our content specialists are creative, energized and driven to leverage content in new and exciting ways for our clients’ SEO, PPC and social media programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage social media engagement and promotional campaigns
• Write web releases, blog posts, feature articles and other content for our B2B and B2C clients
• Develop podcasts, video scripts, and other content sets for our clients’ social media programs
• Provide recommendations for content development in coordination with SEO goals – domain-level and keyword specific
• Develop strategies for white hat link-building campaigns in coordination with client SEO goals
• Assist in development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with SEO goals
• Keep pace with search engine and social media SEO industry trends and developments
• Monitor the social media environment and find opportunities for our clients to participate in conversations of relevance to their brands
• Manage to internal and client deadlines
• Work closely with the other team members to meet client and agency goals

• Proven track record of increasing web traffic and social media KPIs through savvy content marketing
• Great writer, great thinker, strategically creative
• Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
• Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
• High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
• Excellent project management and time management skills

Professional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in the content marketing space with a company or marketing agency
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Passion for continuously learning (through independent research, conferences, webinars, and more)
• Experience working with social media monitoring and management tools
• Sense of ownership and accountability for your work
• Ability to meet deadlines and self-manage workload
• BS/BA degree in marketing communications, public relations, or journalism preferred

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience in B2B and/or technology industry
• HTML, design, or usability experience
• Experience working with CMS and managing content in CMS environments a plus
• Video and/or graphics design experience a plus
